Everyone likes to get out for an evening once in a while and treat
themselves to a good meal. And, there are several great dining spots
close to Wild Duck Cove and Garden Shore Road.
One of the most popular restaurants and visitor attractions in the
province is The Dunes, where they have an art gallery and on-site
pottery studio. The visually interesting property also has a spectacular
view from the dining room, which includes a panorama of MacMillan
Point.
Add a bit of history to your dining experience with a visit to the
Shaw’s Hotel, Canada’s oldest continuously operated inn.
Specializing in fine family fare, you can also enjoy the calmness
of the bay from their shaded windows.
A
short drive through the park will take you to Dalvay-by-the-Sea (photo),
the heritage property made famous in ‘The Road To Avonlea’,
which offers a full fine dining menu.
If you are just looking for a quick snack of fish and chips or seafood
chowder, there are several diners in the vicinity, the closest being
the Millstream Restaurant, less then five minutes away.
